“One of few books that have pulled me into their world that when I look up from the page, I forget that I'm not in the story and I cannot wait to enter their world over and over again."
Luella Winthrop doesn't know who she can trust.
Her ambition has led her on a costly journey, and though she has regained some semblance of control over her own faculties, she returns to her senses just in time to see the ruinous world she’s made.
In the pursuit of her ambition, she’s broken hearts, shattered livelihoods, and toppled reputations. What’s worse, despite everything that’s happened, her heart is divided, and difficult truths wait for her at every turn.
Now, her magic lies beyond her reach, and magical doorways are sealed tight. She will have to confront her demons with nothing but her wits and a few friends who refuse to give up on her.
This is her last chance to repair what damage she’s wrought, and to unravel, at last, the magical mysteries in her own heart.
And she must hurry or more than her life will be lost.
Don't miss the epic finale of Luella Winthrop's magical misadventures.
"Hold on to your seats, guys, this third book will take you deeper than the first two. This third and final book will have you up all night trying to figure out what is going on with Luella. Is she chasing her own tail? Will she finally tell Edward the truth about everything? Will, she rot in jail? Excitement, travel, and adventure await you between these pages... Highly recommend this book if you have read the first two!"
"This series and this book, in particular, is an excellent tale of woe and joy weaved into a historic era along with magical elements blended in-between. It is a story of a girl trying to be herself in an age where expectations of women are different, yet she excels as a strong female determined to achieve equality with her voice. I loved these books as they reminded me of the tale of Somewhere in Time with a twist. It was so entertaining."
"Goodbyes are hard, but so satisfying when done well. This ending to the Luella Winthrop trilogy takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions and lets you see the magic in your daily life. This is one of few books that have pulled me into their world that when I look up from the page, I forget that I'm not in the story and I cannot wait to enter their world over and over again."
"A little legal thriller, a little fantasy, and a little romance, The Onyx Door has it all! I thoroughly enjoyed the final installment of the Luella Winthrop trilogy. The colorful cast of characters, the vivid setting, and the intriguing magic system hooked me and I couldn't stop reading until I knew how things would end up for everyone."

Luella has a decision to make, but she is fighting tooth and nail to avoid it like the plague. The more she finds out, the bigger the mess becomes until she has to face it dead on. Complex emotions, revenge, and facing things they'd hide behind in denial by several characters bring the Gaslamp Trinkets series to an end. Surprises and a final satisfying resolution at the end awaits.
Loved this book as much as the other 2, stories of redemption, forgiveness, sing the worst in people, love and hate
This is the third book in the Luella Winthrop Trilogy. The first book (the Crimson Inkwell) set the scene and put the characters in play. The second book (The Silver Currant) avoided the usual problem of trilogies. it did not feel as if the author was just filling in to make up the mandatory three volumes. There were interesting twists and turns in the plot which threw a new light on the on-going story line. However the third book always makes or breaks a trilogy. Happily here we have a good ending which while being an interesting read in its own right builds on the second book's plot twists and ties up all the loose ends. The characters are well drawn, the style is right for the period in which the trilogy is set, and right up to the end we are left guessing as to who Luella will pair up with and how she will resolve her problems. I was pleased to be a beta reader for this book, because I felt it was a worth reading and that the author deserved what little help I could give in bringing to the public.
I have received an ARC of this book for a honest review. My thoughts below are solely my own. This is the final book in the Luella Winthrop trilogy and it is FANTASTIC, as were books 1&2. For me, it was a page-turner I couldn’t put down!We continue on Luella’s adventure with her friends as the plot twists and turns through a very detailed fantasy world allowing the reader to connect with the characters and visualize the environment they inhabit. The author has done a wonderful job in unhurriedly completing the various story lines of the characters in such a thorough way that there are no open ends.I don’t usually read books more than once (too many good books and so little time), and especially trilogies, but this engaged me so thoroughly that I’ve already read it twice and am planning to read it again! Please read the entire trilogy, including this final installment. In my opinion this trilogy should not be missed! I can’t say enough about how great Luella Winthrop’s adventure was written. I hope you enjoy it as much as I.
This is the third book in the telling of Luella Winthrop's adventure. It is filled with the magic and the trials of Luella as she hopes to make good by Bram and return to her anticipated life with Edward. Luella faces many obstacles among those her own uncertainty about who she is, who she can trust, and what she must do. The trilogy reaches its conclusion, and you will respond based on what you thought was best for her.
